More of Our Pack Members

    Adventure and Enrichment

More Than a Walk. It’s an Adventure.

Dogs were made to explore, sniff, move, think, and experience the world. Our Adventure & Enrichment services are designed to give your dog meaningful experiences that support their physical needs, mental wellbeing, confidence, and quality of life. From private hikes through Connecticut’s trails to carefully matched small-group adventures, every outing is structured around the individual dog—not simply how far we can walk. Because enrichment is about fulfillment and the experience.

    Adventure With A Purpose

Adventure should be more than exercise.

A good adventure gives a dog the opportunity to move, explore, sniff, problem-solve, decompress, and experience new environments while still receiving the structure and guidance they need to be successful.

    Our adventures may incorporate:

    Nature & Exploration
Trails, parks, beaches, and new environments. Mental Enrichment
Sniffing, exploration, problem-solving, and purposeful activities.

    Structured Social Experiences
For dogs who are appropriate for carefully matched group adventures.

    Training Reinforcement
Engagement, leash skills, recall, impulse control, and other skills when appropriate.

    Individualized Care
Every dog has different needs, energy levels, confidence, and preferences. Their experience is tailored accordingly.

    Our Adventure Services

    Small-Group Adventure Hikes

Adventure is better with the right pack.

Our small-group hikes give dogs the opportunity to explore Connecticut’s beautiful trails alongside a carefully selected group of compatible dogs.

Groups are intentionally kept small—typically 2–4 dogs—so every dog can receive individual attention while still enjoying the enrichment of an appropriate social environment.

Dogs are matched based on temperament, energy level, social skills, physical ability, and overall compatibility.

    Private Adventure Hikes

Their adventure. Their pace. Their experience.

Some dogs thrive in a group. Others are happiest exploring one-on-one.

Private Adventures are completely customized to your dog’s needs, personality, energy level, and physical abilities.

Whether your dog needs a peaceful nature walk, a confidence-building outing, extra enrichment, or simply some one-on-one time exploring the world, we’ll create an experience around them.

    Puppy & Enrichment

They may be small, but their world is getting bigger every day.

Puppies don’t necessarily need long hikes or hours of physical exercise.

They need opportunities to explore, think, play appropriately, learn how to settle, build confidence, and experience the world at an age-appropriate pace.

Puppy & Enrichment sessions combine structured play, mental enrichment, environmental exposure, and foundational skills in a way that’s appropriate for your puppy’s developmental stage.

    Sessions may include:

    • Structured play
    • Scent and sniffing activities
    • Problem-solving
    • Novel environments
    • Confidence-building
    • Impulse-control games
    • Engagement and name recognition
    • Place and settle foundations
    • Age-appropriate leash exposure

    45-minute session - $75

Puppy & Enrichment is designed to complement—not replace—formal training.

    THE ADVENTURE DOG PROGRAM

Don’t just take your dog on adventures. Teach them how to adventure with you.

Your dog shouldn’t have to stay home while you hike, run, go to the beach, take a boat out, travel, or explore a new place.

The Adventure Dog Program is a multi-week private training experience designed to build the skills your dog needs to become a reliable, engaged companion in the activities you love.

We’ll build the foundation first, then gradually bring those skills into the real world.

Initial 4 Week Training Block Starting at $750

    Skills may include:

    Relevancy & Engagement
Teaching your dog to stay connected and tuned in to you.

    Recall
Building reliable recall and emergency response.

    Impulse Control
Helping your dog make good decisions when exciting things are happening.

    Leash Skills
Creating reliable walking skills before progressing to more advanced environments.

    Place & Settle
Teaching your dog how to remain with you and settle when the environment demands it.

    Environmental Confidence
Helping your dog learn how to navigate new places, surfaces, sounds, people, animals, and distractions.

    Adventure-Specific Skills
Depending on your lifestyle, training may eventually incorporate hiking, running, beach outings, boating, travel, camping, biking, and other appropriate activities.

And most importantly: you learn, too.

Your dog isn’t being trained so that I can handle them.

They’re being trained so you can confidently handle them.

You’ll learn how to recognize your dog’s body language, understand when they’re connected to you, recognize when their arousal is increasing, regain their attention, communicate clearly, and make good decisions in real-world situations.

The program begins with a 4-week initial training block, with 1–2 private sessions per week depending on your dog’s needs and your schedule.

After the initial block, continued training can be added in 2-week increments based on your dog’s progress and goals.

Every session includes personalized homework and between-session support.

    COMMUNITY PACK WALKS

    Adventure together.

Every once in a while, we’ll bring our community together for a guided Pack Walk in one of the area’s beautiful parks, trails, or outdoor spaces.

They’re structured opportunities to practice calm walking, engagement, neutrality, and confidence around other dogs while enjoying the outdoors together.

Pack Walks will be offered as special events throughout the year.

Every Dog Deserves the Right Adventure

Not every dog is ready for every adventure—and that’s okay.

Some dogs are natural group hikers.

    Some prefer one-on-one experiences.

Some need a little training before they’re ready to join the fun.

Our goal isn’t to force a dog into an environment they’re not prepared for.

It’s to meet them where they are and help them progress from there.

A dog who isn’t ready for a group adventure today may be ready for one later.

A dog who needs private training now may eventually become your favorite hiking buddy.

“Not yet” doesn’t have to mean “never.”

Experienced professionals dedicated to your success.

Proven results that speak for themselves.
